Guns and God and American Wellbeing

Again, while I am grading and dealing with everything that distracts me from grading, I recommend that you make your trip to Principalities and Powers worthwhile by indulging yourself with this:

"Guns and God? Hell, yes: Obama attacks two of the things that elevate the U.S. above places like Europe" by Mark Steyn (Orange County Register, April 19, 2008). "I think a healthy society needs both God and guns: It benefits from a belief in some kind of higher purpose to life on Earth, and it requires a self-reliant citizenry. If you lack either of those twin props, you wind up with today's Europe – a present-tense Eutopia mired in fatalism."

For fun, if you have not seen Will Farrell (continuing my recent Farrell festival) doing George W. Bush on climate change (or global warming as we used to call it before that was apparently debunked, as Mark Tapscott reports) This man is very funny (Farrell, not Bush).
